LCD type

OLED LCD, STN LCD, STN LCD, STN LCD and TFD LCD are five common types of LCD. For details, please refer to: LCD classification and technical features.

Concept: LCD (liquid crystal display) is a liquid crystal display, LCM (liquid crystal module) is a liquid crystal module;

Industry perspective: LCD is a big concept, which is the name of LCD industry, while LCM can not be used as the name of LCD;

Product perspective: LCD represents the front product or process, while LCM represents the back product or process. LCD refers to LCD (lcdpanel part is cell), and LCM is the combination of the following modules: lcdpanel + ACF + driver + PCB + FPC + B / lmodule + iron frame.

LCD module type

Liquid crystal module can be divided into cob (chip on board) liquid crystal module and COG (chip on glass) liquid crystal module. More depending on the backlight type, backlight color.

According to the classification of display content and mode, LCD module can be divided into character LCD module, graphic lattice LCD module and pen Segment LCD module.

LCD is the abbreviation of liquid crystal display, which translates to LCD screen.

LCM is the abbreviation of LCD module, which translates to LCD module.

The difference between LCD module and LCD is that LCD is a kind of component of LCD module. LCD module refers to the assembly of LCD, connector, control and drive peripheral circuits, PCB circuit board, backlight, structure and so on.

LCD module usually refers to small size LCD, large size LCD with control is not called LCD module, but called display or LCD.
